It’s really the little things we have to think of that give us so much stress.

I have come to notice that when it comes to make up and skin care there are certain products that work best for different times of year.

For summer, it’s best to go with lighter, glowy makeup that’s not too cakey. In the winter, our skin tends to be dryer and paler so its best to go with moisturizing cream products.

So, are there specific products that we should be using at the end of summer when we are going back to school? The short answer is, yes!

I personally love both of these products. They have really helped clear up my daughters skin, who was really struggling with acne. As soon as we added these 2 products to her skin care routine (along with a few other products that I will also mention in this category) her skin transformed for the better. I call this product “magic in a bottle.” Only because when my teenage daughter started having break outs on her face last summer, no spot treatment seemed to help her. I saw this product being recommended on TikTok and decided to give it a try. Within 2 weeks almost all of her acne was gone. In other words, this is a must-have product that I repurchase for her over and over again.

Wearing a lot of makeup at school is probably not very practical. You are there for almost 8 hours a day and because of the lack of air circulation, we tend to become very oily at the end of the day. which can cause acne. But we don’t exactly want to go bar-faced either.

Tinted Moisturizer

Let’s start off with our base. Foundation would be way too heavy to wear on a daily basis when you are at school everyday. So a tinted moisturizer would be an excellent alternative. It is something that hydrates your skin and gives you a little coverage at the same time. Just enough coverage where you won’t look cakey or dry.

To make things even better, not only is this product a tinted moisturizer, it is also an spf 50. So you are also protecting your skin from the sun.

In my opinion, this is the ultimate base for every day. Whether you’re in school or at work, this product is a three in one and in my books, its a no brainer.

Bronzer and Blush

I strongly believe in cream products if you are going for a more natural makeup look. Almost every brand has cream products included in their new collections, so it really is a personal choice.

The cream bronzer and blush that I love using for an every day natural look is the Cloud Paint Gel Cream blush and bronzer. They give the perfect hydrating, smoothe look that you will definitely need while wearing makeup all day at school. There are many shades to choose from that I am positive you will find one that you love.

Setting Powder

Now that we have all our cream products on, it its essential to set all of that so we don’t crease.

There is no need to spend lots of money on a good setting power if you don’t want to. The Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Powerless setting powder is super popular and for good reason.

You do not need to use a lot of this product or else you will become too dry. Just dust a little bit of setting power over your face with a makeup brush, just enough to set all the cream products you applied and you are good to go!

Eyelashes

You have 3 choices when it comes to your eyelashes and going to school.

The first choice is to just leave them be. Natural lashes are beautiful and there are definitely days when you will be too lazy to do anything to them because lets be honest, who wants to wake up early to fix their lashes?

If you are someone who doesn’t mind waking up early to fix their lashes then choice number 2 and 3 are for you.

The second choice is to just curl your lashes. That way you have a little something going on but it only takes you a minute or so to curl them. I personally absolutely love the e.l.f lash curler. It works great and is so inexpensive.

The third choice is to curl them and apply mascara. This will obviously take time in the morning so it is personal choice of how you would like to spend your morning.

The mascara that I always recommend, is Telscopic from L’Oreal. It is a great lengthening mascara that does not flake off during the day and is super afforadable!

Dry shampoo is absolutely essential when you are going to school.

This is perfect for those mornings when you wake up and regret not washing your hair the night before and don’t have time to wash it in the morning.

If you have never used dry shampoo before, it is something that may change your life. When you are going to school and studying, washing your hair is just not an every day necessity. This is only because drying it takes so much time! So taking a quick shower and then using dry shampoo in the morning is something that can take a lot of stress off of you especially when you are tired or always in a rush.
