Personally, I have been a VIB Rouge member for close to 10 years. So, it is safe to say that when it comes to beauty products, I know what I’m talking about. Beauty products are a huge part of my life and I’d like to say that I know what is worth spending your money on, especially during the sale.

The Sephora Sale only happens twice a year and every time it rolls around, it feels extremely overwhelming. There are so many products we want to purchase but never know what’s really worth spending our hard earned cash on.

The VIB Sale starts on April 5th and ends on April 15th depending on what status you are. I will include a picture below with the different status’s that way you can tell what category you fall in.

In this post, I will break down all the beauty categories and items that are Sephora Sale must-haves. That way, I can help make your decision a little easier on what is a priority for you to purchase this time around.

1.Sephora Sale Must Haves: Hair Styling Tools

Have you have been contemplating purchasing any sort of hair styling tool, without a doubt, now is the time!

No matter what hair tool you have your eye on, they are all pretty pricey. Undoubtedly, adding a 10-15% discount will make a big difference. So let’s break down which one is worth your money.

Dyson Hair Tools

Dyson Hair tools are probably the most popular and most expensive hair styling tools on the market. Are they worth your money? It depends. Personally, I own all the Dyson hair tools, which is 100% unnecessary. I used to be a hair stylist so hair tools and hair products have my heart. As soon as Dyson launches a new hair tool, I can’t stay away.

The Dyson Airwrap, the Corrale, the Supersonic Blowdryer and the Airstrait are all great for different purposes.

First, the Supersonic Blow Dryer is just that, a blow dryer. It’s small, light and dries your hair super quickly.

The Airwrap is a perfect hair tool if you like blowouts. It does more that the blow dryer but at the end of the day it is not a hair straightener or a curling iron. You may need to go in with those tools after you use the Airwrap.

In addition, the Corrale is a wireless hair straighter that does not damage your hair as much as a regular hair straightener. Personally, even though I like this straightener, it is probably the one I like the least out of all Dyson products. That is probably because the battery does not last very long so you are always rushing to finish your hair if it is off the wire.

And lastly, my favourite hair tool of them all is the new Airstrait. This is a perfect tool for someone who wears their hair straight. Usually when I straighten my hair I need to blow dry it first, then go in with a straightener. Whereas, the Airstait is a hair tool that gets your hair pin straight in just one step.

Hair Tools other than Dyson

Sephora has a lot of hair tools that are not Dyson like the Shark (a sort of dupe for the Airwrap at a lower cost). Many people live by this hair tool saying it is actually a better version of the Dyson Airwrap.

The High Tide Hair Crimper from the Brand Amika is also another great styling tool. Ultimately, it helps give you those beautiful beachy waves effortlessly.

Lastly, another hair tool that is worth the money is the Airbrush from the brand T3. It is a drying tool that is similar to the viral Revlon One Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer but a lot less damaging to your hair.

2. Perfume

Remember the days when we were able to purchase a bottle of perfume for 60$? Well, that does not exist anymore. These days, a travel size perfume bottle costs between 40$-60$. Fragrances are now almost all over $150 which can make it difficult to build a collection.

This means that if you have been thinking about purchasing a bottle of perfume, the VIB Sephora Sale is the best time. After all, having an extra 10-15% makes a huge difference when the product is $200.

Fragrances are really a personal choice. I can recommend the perfumes that I love but that does not mean that you will love them. So I suggest visiting the Sephora website or app that way you can search the notes you love. Maybe then pass through Sephora and have a quick sniff. Great part about Sephora’s return policy is that you have 30 days to try out a product and if you don’t love it, then you can return it. This includes perfumes!

Although, like I mentioned before, that perfume is a personal choice, I will still suggest my personal favourite perfumes from Sephora and if you are a Vanilla girly, then you are in luck!

These are my top 4 favourite perfumes as a vanilla girl. In addition, I have also linked them below!

3. Sephora Sale Must Haves: Skin Care

This is the perfect opportunity to stock up on all your favourite skin care products. Personally, every year during the Spring VIB Sephora sale, this is my time to stock up on my must have skin care favourite.

Here, I will share my absolute must-have skincare items that I swear by! It should be noted, I have been VIB rouge for na long time so it’s safe to say that I live for beauty products. Here are some skin care Sephora sale must-haves!

Glow Recipe

This is a great brand if you are looking for very glowy skin (hence the name). Glow recipes products are very sought after and for good reason. If you are interested in trying some of their products, I suggest purchasing one of their gift sets. This way you can try a few of their products before splurging on the larger bottles. Some of my favourites from this brand are:

  • Watermelon Glow Pore tight Toner
  • Watermelon Glow Night treatment
  • Strawberry Smooth Salicylic Acid Serum
  • Watermelon Glow Dew Drops

Moisturizers

There are a few moisturizers that I always stock up on during the Sephora sale. Moisturizers are another product that are on the pricey side so this is a great time to take the plunge.

Here are my favourite moisturizers:

  • Tatcha – The Water Cream (A water based moisturizer that leaves your skin very hydrated)
  • Farmacy – Honey Halo ultra-hydrating moisturizer (A thicker texture for extra moisture)
  • First Aid Beauty – Ultra Repair Cream (A great formula that helps restore very dry skin)
  • Skinfix -Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream (Great for plumping skin)

Must-Have Serums

The serums I use and love are surprisingly inexpensive. I really love the brands The Ordinary and The Inky List for serums. In my opinion, they are just as good as the higher end brands, if not better.

These are some of my favourites.

  • The Ordinary – Hyaluronic Acid (Great serum for extra moisture)
  • The Ordinary -Salicylic Acid (This is great for acne prone skin)
  • The Inky List – Tranexamic Acid Serum (Helps hyperpigmentation)
  • The Inky List – 15% Vitamin C and EFG (Good for brightening the skin and with getting rid of dark spots)

4. Makeup

In this category, I could go on and on about all my favourite makeup products. But let’s face it, we’d be here forever. So instead, I will mention only my holy grail products that I repurchase over and over. Again, the Sephora VIB Spring sale is definitely my favourite time to restock on all these products.

  • Dior – Forever Skin Glow Foundation (in my opinion the absolute best foundation for dewy skin)

  • Huda Beauty – Easy Bake Setting Powder (a great setting powder that is not too heavy or cakey)

5. Lip Care

As I am sure you noticed, I did not add lip care to the makeup category and that is because in my mind, it’s in a category of its own. Lip care, in my opinion can fall somewhere in between skin care and makeup. I also have a weakness for lip products whether it’s lipstick, lip balm or a lip mask, if a new lip product launches, I need to try it.

Furthermore, in the next section, I will list my absolute top lip care products that I have tried and love.

  • Summer Fridays – Lip Butter Balm (An amazing lip gloss that is popular for a reason. It’s amazing!)
  • La Neige – Lip Sleeping Mask (Great to apply right before bed but personally I use this all day long)
  • Dior – Dior Addict Lip Glow (A beautiful Balm that gives your lips a pretty glow)
  • Too Faced – Kissing Jelly Hydrating Lip Oil Gloss (Really cute packaging. Smells and feels amazing on lips)
  • Benefit – Benetint Lip Blush & cheek tint (A pretty tint for your lips that looks very natural)
  • Rare Beauty – Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil (A great formula. Giving you a natural lip tint)

6. Hair Care

Hair care is just another category where we want to spend so much money on but at this point, it almost feels like a luxury due to the cost. Without a doubt, this is a great time to purchase that hair care product you’ve had your eye on.

Sephora carries some amazing brands when it comes to hair care and although it may be difficult to narrow down the best ones, I will try to mention the products that I have tried and will always re-purchase.

Here are my must-have hair care products.

  • K18 Biomimetic Hairscience – Leave in treatment (This leave in treatment saves my hair after my monthly bleach session)
  • Ouai – Hair Oil (My favourite hair oil for the price. I love a few other brands too but find them extremely overpriced)
  • Ouai – Detox Shampoo (A Sephora favourite for a reason. A great detoxifying shampoo)
  • Fable and Mane – Holoroots Pre Wash Treatment (I can’t live without this treatment. Repurchase forever!)
  • Gisou – Honey InfusedHair Perfume (A stunning and soft hair perfume for every day)
  • Keratase – Nutritive 8H Magic Serum (They called it magic for a reason. Not sure what they put in this but it is incredible for soft hair every morning)

7. Body Care

It should be noted that I usually don’t spend too much money on body care, if I am being quite honest. Most of the body care products I purchase are usually from Target. But there are a few body care products that I do love and repurchase from Sephora. They are listed and linked down below!

  • Sol de Janeiro – Body Cream (I am not mentioning any specific scent because I find that is a personal choice. Whatever one you choose is amazing. In fact, Anything you purchase from this brand as a whole, is a win.)
  • Ouai – Moisturizing Body Cream (This feels amazing on your skin and the smell is fresh and soft, Definitely a favourite)
  • Isle of Paradise – Self Tanning Drops (The perfect natural self tanner. Just add a few drops in your favourite moisturizer for a sun kissed look in the morning)
  • Supergoop -Unseen Sunscreen (A great, weightless and non-greasy sunscreen to wear alone or under your makeup)
